OPPORTUNITIES

The Reichow Lab is always interested in discussing opportunities for research positions for creative and highly motivated individuals to join our research team. See below for descriptions and contact information.

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATES

The Reichow Lab is currently seeking individuals at the postdoctoral level. Ideal candidates will have a background in structural biology, biophysics, biochemistry, molecular/cell biology, computational biology, or similar field - with strong written and communication skills. Experience in cryo-EM and/or MD simulation are a benefit, but not necessary. This is a great opportunity to develop independent research studying biomolecular mechanisms in a vibrant multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Our lab has on-site access to state-of-the-art cryo-EM facilities, high-performance computational resources for image processing and/or MD simulation and is fully equipped for biochemistry, cell biology and biophysical methods (see Resources).

  • Interested applicants should send a cover letter and CV with up to 3 contacts for letters of reference via email to Steve Reichow (reichow@ohsu.edu)

GRADUATE STUDENTS

Graduate students in the Reichow Lab receive inter-disciplinary training in a collaborative and supportive research environment. Students are mentored throughout the development of their thesis research project, and gain expertise in high-resolution imaging and structure determination methods using cryo-EM. Our structure-function approach means students in the Reichow Lab become skilled in molecular biology techniques (e.g. cloning, PCR, mutagenesis), protein biochemistry (expression, purification and characterization techniques) and various other biophysical analysis (e.g., binding experiments, thermodynamic characterizations, stability assays, etc.).

  • Prospective students can obtain more information on applying to the OHSU Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (PBMS) or through the Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP).

  • Graduate students currently enrolled at OHSU are invited to contact Steve Reichow (reichow@ohsu.edu) to discuss opportunities.
